On May 20, 2026, the Rotary Club of Greenwich welcomed a local team of board-certified Healing Touch practitioners to speak with members about the benefits of Healing Touch, an evidence-based biofield therapy used to support stress reduction, relaxation, emotional well-being, resilience, and the body’s natural healing process.

The Rotary Club of Greenwich was pleased to welcome a dedicated local team of board-certified Healing Touch practitioners to our May 20th luncheon. Based in Greenwich and formed through their work together at Greenwich Hospital, the team shared their mission to bring evidence-based biofield therapy to the broader community, including nonprofits, corporations, schools, healthcare settings, and community service organizations.

The presentation introduced Rotarians to Healing Touch, a gentle biofield therapy that uses light touch or near-body techniques to help balance the body’s energy system. Healing Touch is designed to reduce stress and pain, promote relaxation, improve emotional well-being, and support the body’s natural healing processes. It is used in hospitals and integrative healthcare settings and is endorsed by the American Holistic Nurses Association.
The visiting team included Kathleen Bacchi, RN, CHTP, a registered nurse, certified Healing Touch Practitioner, and founder of Core Star Healing, LLC. Kathleen has extensive experience in integrative medicine at Greenwich Hospital and has dedicated her career to combining conventional nursing with holistic healing practices. Her community outreach includes work with Jewish Family Services, the YWCA Harmony Project, Greenwich Library, Town of Greenwich First Responders, and the Center for Hope and Resilience.
Also joining us was Laura Petitt, MA, CHTP, a board-certified Healing Touch Practitioner with a master’s degree in psychology and a background as a certified professional life coach. Laura works with trauma survivors through a nonprofit organization and maintains a private practice in Stamford, CT, bringing a compassionate, whole-person approach to mind-body wellness.
The team also included Gail Covney, CHTP, a certified Healing Touch Practitioner trained at Greenwich Hospital. Gail has been practicing since 2008 and is passionate about sharing the benefits of biofield therapy through community engagement and collaboration with healthcare professionals.

Their presentation offered valuable insight into how Healing Touch can support stress reduction, resilience, and overall wellness in both personal and professional settings. We are grateful to Kathleen, Laura, and Gail for sharing their knowledge, compassion, and commitment to helping strengthen the health and well-being of our community.
The Rotary Club of Greenwich thanks Healing Touch for joining us and for their inspiring work in service to others.

Service Above Self.
